Editor's review
The three storey Museum of Applied Arts is housed in Poznan's former Royal Castle. The idea of the museum is to display functional art from Eastern and Western cultures of all ages, though with a special emphasis on Polish art. While most of the items are European, one can find several objects from as far away as Japan. Furniture, tableware and china, weapons, tapestries, and other objects can be found, from items from the Middle Ages to Gothic and Renaissance period objects, to a few pieces of Modern design from the 20th century.
