I would like to know how many british dead there are at the Poznan citadel war graves, I am going there on dead peoples day and would like to place candels at their grave to show my appreciation of the sacrifice they made for freedom. please if anyone can help. please.
A nice area, but also a place for sorrow. 18.000 young men died here during WW2, and none much over 21 years old. I take my hat of in rememberance, every life lost is a dream lost. A very good museum, but with a lack of english/international description. The outdoor exhibition is left with no comments.
This is one huge park with cemetries of soldiers. I lost my way in Citadela and finally managed to get out after wandering for an hour or two.
This place is so gigantic that you can always find a quiet corner. Me and my friend met some people playing frisbee and they demanded that we join, so it was an ultra-fun day at the park...
