This is Teatr Wielki’s premiere performance of one of Tchaikovsky’s operatic masterpieces, drawn on the verse novel of the great Russian poet Pushkin – and it’s likely to sell out quickly, so get in early if you want tickets.

Friendship, love, betrayal, tragedy… everything you could want from an opera are right here in this show. Anyone familiar with Pushkin will also be pleased by the composer’s fidelity to the original text on which the opera is based.
