Holy Week begins this year on April 1, on which date Palm Sunday falls. The following Thursday is Maundy Thursday, then Good Friday, and Easter Day on April 8.
Polish traditions at this time of year are all about the church, and the devout and not so devout will be seen carrying baskets of food to their parish church for a blessing ceremony. This food forms the basis of the Easter breakfast.
