Right off Wroclawska Street (entrance on Jaskolcza) which leads straight to the Stary Rynek, the Frolic Goats Hostel was for a long time Poznan's only year-round hostel. But if you think lack of competition would make the hostel dirty and disorganized, you're quite wrong. The Frolic Goats offers several very clean and tidy rooms, all cheerfully decorated and each housing 4, 8, or 12 beds, as well as two private rooms, one with its own bathroom. The bathrooms and showers are some of the cleanest and most spacious of any hostel. The prices are very reasonable, especially if booked in advance, and include breakfast in the morning. Be sure to ask the friendly, English-speaking staff about events going on in town, as they're always on top of things - they might even join you for a beer!

It's been a while since my last visit at Frolic's. It changed. They've got several more private rooms and apartments. Stay was super cool. Staff was helpful and everything you'll ever need from a hostel is there. Highly reccommended.
The hostel has a great location and breakfast is incredible (one of the best I've ever tasted in a hostel). Rooms and bathroom are just correct.
However, be careful 'cause on weekends there's a lot of noise on the street due to the discos and could result diffciuclt sleep...
Thanks for the tips. Will be in Poznan for the Radiohead gig. Not sure if I'll be sleeping though!
Be sure to have your mobile on you with their phone number because it's a bit hard to find at first and you may need to call for directions once you're there (as I did). But otherwise the Frolic Goats Hostel was great, the staff helpful (even put up with my 3 phone calls whilst I was trying to find the entrance), the beds and rooms and toilets are clean and the common area is nice - highly recommended in Poznan! And the location is superb!
Friendly newly created hostel in the most interesting part of the old city for travelers. Thanks Radek for helping us to rebook flights and train travel.Good showers. Needs a sign so print out the 'how to find us'. I'd go there again with no hesitation.Nice people staff and visitor wise. Go before too many tourists go to Poznan.
a bit hard to find, but other than that i can't fault the frolic goats hostel! friendly staff, very helpful, the location is great, a hop skip and jump to the stary rynek, and everything you need is at the hostel. i definitely recommend it, poznan is a great city to visit in general!
stayed there two weeks ago. very nice place, when you see the enterance it doesn't really look like a hostel but when you get it its realy nice. staff are friendly, you have access to the internet, the breakfast in the morning ( included in the price) is very good, but the best thing is its location. it just of the rynek.
I had a great three nights at the Frolic Goats - the rooms are really clean, they give you fresh sheets and you get your own locker in the room for free. The only downside is if you're staying in a room whose window looks over the street outside, it can get quite loud on the weekends, as there are several bars on the same street and people tend to gather outside and be drunk and loud. If you're one of those people and you're out til 3-4 am, then it shouldn't be a problem, but if you want to go to bed early be sure to ask for a room facing the courtyard.
