Poznan to Berlin Train Connection

Starting in June, the Polish railway company PKP Intercity will open a new connection between Poznan and Berlin. The announcement comes after PKP Intercity announced its plans to purchase ten new locomotives for passenger services. Currently, it's been renting its locomotives from PKP Cargo, another division of the national train company.

We can only hope for a modern update to Poland's current locomotives, which resemble the iron age rather than the modern age. Along with purchasing the locomotives, the company will hire new drivers and plans to buy 30 new passenger cars. But while change is coming, it's going to be a slow one, as the 400 million PLN upgrade will take about three years to implement.
