Poznan Ranked Best-Run City
The city of Poznan has been ranked the best-run city in Poland by a the Rzeczpospolita daily in a gala event attended by Jerzy Buzek, the President of the European Parliament.
The areas included in the survey by the newspaper were divided into cities, urban-rural municipalities, and rural municipalities, and took into account several aspects of the towns management of EU funds. The urban-rural category saw the town of Mszczonow grab top spot for the fifth consecutive year, along with Stepnica which won first place amongst rural municipalities.
Behind Poznan in the city category were: Sopot, Leszno, Zielona Gora, and Szczecin.
