Poznan Readies for Euro 2012
Along with Warsaw, Gdansk, and Wroclaw, Poznan is one of the Polish cities to host the eagerly anticipated UEFA Euro 2012 football championship, which Poland will co-host with Ukraine. The extensively renovated Municipal Stadium in Poznan will host three matches in the group stage, with Group C national teams Ireland, Croatia, and Italy going head-to-head on June 10, 14, and 18.
No ticket? No problem! Poznans official Fan Zone will let you dive in to the pure energy of watching live feeds of the Euro games with tens of thousands of other passionate football fans. You can also buy food and drinks here, plus several concerts and performances are scheduled to take place. Entrance to the Fan Zone, which will be located on Poznans historic Plac Wolnosci (Freedom Square), is free.
