DOMESTIC (The Prague Fringe Festival)
Domestic is a love story about Mia – a young activist, and Cal – the policeman who is sent to spy on her. Based on true events Domestic asks how far will we allow the state's invasion of our private lives. With new surveillance legislation in the UK and across the world, the state’s ability to spy on us is becoming limitless. Our most personal information, on our computers and in our email and social media accounts, is easily hacked and accessible to whoever is interested in accessing it. What does freedom mean in a world where absolute surveillance is becoming a possibility?
Based on true events 'Domestic' is Tamsin's first play. During her time campaigning Tamsin was a victim of corporate surveillance and so has first hand experience of how it feels to be spied on. The play will be directed by Jón Atli Jónasson and Hinrik Thor and co-stars Aidan J. David.
