Reviews of Hotels in Prague
Hi Local Life Team, the Mosaic House is a fantastic hostel. I had an extensive look on all the hostels in Prague and in my opinion this one ticks all the boxes! This is why we at Hostelgeeks awarded the Mosaic House as a 5 Star Hostel. Cheers, Matt
Great place, cozy rooms, cheap local beer and just walking distance to the city centre... I met a lot of nice people in the common room. Greetings to Hana and Helmut :)
It was absolutely fine. No complaints at all, and quite cheap. I would go back there again.
What a place, kinda quaint and grand at the same time....
A fun and magical place!
Good hostel with everything we needed.
Not recommended, cos of safety problems. Probably some persons of staff are corrupted and work with stealer, providing info from video cameras if guest leave a room (e.g. just to visit facilities on the floor).
Nothing too special, but clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.
I was fortunate enough to visit on a chance meeting with a friend but was booked elsewhere so didn't stay the night. But I had to comment that Mlyn Karlstejn is superb from grounds to staff. I shall enquire there next I visit Prague.
Good friends, good times. Yo, Petr!
Carlton was a perfect spot for our stay. Would recommend.
I had such a grand time in Prague and at Old Prague hostel. Being in the centre was perfect for late nights out with friends and early morning sightseeing.
Funky and cool!
Top spot with what we needed.
We had but a few days in Prague, so we were happy this hotel was perfectly situated in the centre.
Much better than I was expecting. Enjoyed it.
A cute little place with lots of character.
Loved this place. Super cool.
Phenomenal
The area is not as shady as the first reviewer describes, really. I had no problems walking to the center, it's really close on foot and there's some cool stuff around if you go exploring. The hostel itself was great - friendly people and nice rooms
It was a pleasure to stay here though it's a bit hard to find initially. Rates were fair and beds and bathrooms were clean, plus I met some nice people and ended up going to a lot of clubs in a group. All in all, Prague and the Apple Hostel are great!
I spotted a real Elf here once - honest!
Right on Wenceslas Square, it's ideal for seeing the city, especially if you have just a few nights in Prague. If you can spare some koruna, look into booking the Louis XIV rooms ... they are like sleeping in yesteryear.
Really fun hostel, what a hostel experience should be. The staff were very helpful, gave me a map and let me know of some cool "locals-only" places I would have never found on my own. The only drawback is the location - kind of a shadey neighborhood, but I had no problems personally, travelling with 2 other people.
An excellent place to stay - very cool, very chic, and suprisingly reasonably priced.
We stayed at the Hotel Elysee when we came to Prague in 2007. Can't fault much about the place, starting with the location on the Wencelas Square. Service was up to western standards, rooms were very attractive and just spacious enough. It did get a little noisy but that is a price you pay for being right in the centre i suppose
I have been visiting miss sophies on a regular basis since it opened over 2 years ago,I can honestly say that this has been the best hostel I have visited. A newly refurbished building, centrally located, very clean with excellent shower facilities, reasonably priced and excelent staff. Only drawback no bar, but banditos a tex mex bar/diner only 10 metres across the street, if in Prague definately worth a visit 5 star hostel.
Hi, I have reservation in Kavalir Hotel in Prague from July, 26 to August, 2, I need transportation from the airport to the Kavalir Hotel, my flight number is OK0605 from Vienna landing 10:05 am (CZECH AIR ) could you confirm the rate (is it around 24 Eur?) Regards, Juan Carlos Fernandez
Pluses: awesome, friendly staff and generally friendly guests who will make sure you don't drink a beer alone. linen and towel provided, and you can rent a lock for the lockers in each room. breakfast minimal but good and FREE, and free internet on three computers... Minuses: ...three very slow computers. if you plan to walk everywhere (which is doable) you have to walk through a pretty shady neighborhood at night to get back to the hostel. it's a good 10 minute walk just to get out of an area where you don't feel like you might get shot at any moment. but you can also take the bus to the old town. also, the train comes by literally within 10 metres of the hostel on a bridge. if you're a light sleeper, this could definitely be an issue, especially in the early morning.
very nice staff and good location. when i visited prague for a weekend last april, it was the only hostel with rooms available for under like 30 euro - the way it should be! there are so many really expensive hostels in prague now, it's almost cheaper to stay in a hotel!!
As far as hostels go, couldn't think of anything this one was missing. Excellent locale, everything in order. If anything, i wish i had a pet to take there to make the most of the pets allowed policy. Good stuff
Really, really great. This was our first time at Sir Toby's but we'll definitely be coming back! Contrary to the main report, we didn't think it was outside the center, but that may have been because of the beer!
