Dubliner, tucked away in a small courtyard off Old Town Square the Dubliner is a basement bar with a cavernous interior giving it an original beer hall style atmosphere. Definitely superior to most of the other Irish bars in Prague, the Dubliner is well organised with fast service, decent quality food, and friendly, helpful staff. Sure prices are expensive but not outrageously so for this type of bar in the centre of the Old Town, and both the Staropramen and Guinness on draft are satisfyingly good. Often showing multiple sports events simultaneously on decent-sized screens, the Dubliner brings in expat sports lovers meaning that you can easily strike up a conversation with someone who really knows the city. Popular with stag weekend parties but normally the more civilised ones (if that’s not a contradiction in terms ...)

Popped in to this bar on paddys day this week, before our flight back to uk. It looked dark and dingey but you could hear a great noise coming up the stairs. The bar was packed but managed to get a table. Waitress service was fast and efficient. An excellent live duo were entertaining the customers and everyone joined in all the tunes...truely a great atmosphere. Lots of punters dressed up for paddys day leprechaun hats in abundance. We had to leave about 3pm to get to airport just as it was getting into full swing. Had a great time.
