Editor's review
It has taken since the start of the 20th century to build the collection that now comprises the Art Museum Riga Bourse, the largest of its type in the whole of Latvia.
Every age where humans have been creative is represented here, from Ancient Egypt to contemporary times and from the Far East to Western Europe. The museum boasts valuable and important works from Dutch and German masters, alongside examples of Japanese, Chinese and Indian art. The collection continues to grow, too, as since 2009 a new thread of art history has been drawn to the museum, which is now building and extending its samples from Indonesia.
