Not what we expected. The bears (brown and polar bear) lived under horrible conditions and both of them acted in a very strange manner. The area of the polar bear is way to small and generally in an disgusting condition. The brown bear ran into the wall of his small cage again and again. Really disturbing. Two hippos swam in a pool (or their own excrements) smaller than a normal swimming pool. I am a huge fan of Riga but this zoo should be closed. Just disgusting.

Whilst the zoo was pleasant enogh, my partner and I both felt that the manner in which the polar bear, tiger and hippopotamus were being kept was, well, cruel. The bear and tiger seemed "stir crazy" and, dare one, say lonely. The hippo's seemed to simply be wallowing in their own excrement. This does not seem right.

If you`re up for something unique don`t miss the chance to shoot the guns in Riga.

I went with my partner and sauna were very disappointed. Although it was Friday the place was empty, we were charged more expensive than the rate we were told yesterday. The steam room was damaged and did not say before paying and seemed not very clean jacuzzi

the animals at this zoo live under horrible conditions. i will never go back here, and do not recomend anyone to visit this place with your children. the two rhinos had a small pool on approximately 20 squaremeters and most of the animals lives alone in really small cages. they did not have permanent access to drinking water. there where also animals who had wounds on their body who should have been taken care of. this is animal cruelty! they also promote that they have lots of animals like bears, lions, polarbear, tigers +++, and there where almost none!

the place itself is very nice, but on the weekend that I came there it was ALMOST EMPTY (except one drunk guy who slept on the couch the whole night, one unattractive old man and one weird young guy who always closed himself alone in a private cabin).

It is a pleasant course with nice scenic views. Can be a bit windy at times, so you must keep that in mind on the drives, but worth a try.

hmmmm... dont know.. this is the first aquatic centre I've seen in Europe with absolutely no nudity allowed! you change in a small private booth, you shower in your swimwear, you wear your fabrics to the saunas and steam... And I thought Latvians were as liberal as the rest of Northern Europe. Was I wrong?

We organized through this site - no problems at all from first email to after the event. Our group was 12 in June '09

A very pretty place to sit around and read or just people watch when the weather is nice. I stayed in a hostel near the park and spent most of my time here.

Really great tour company - my friends and I certainly did not have the "traditional" tour of the city, but felt we got to know it a bit better. Plus we got to meet a lot of friendly locals who made the experience even better - highly recommended!

my friend and i went to watch Skonto on 19-04-08 and thoroughly enjoyed the game. There was about 150 Brits watching the game. The atmosphere was friendly, though the ground was about ony a quarter full. After the match we stayed behind to watch the English results. It was only 3 latts to get into the ground the programme was free and we didn't feel threatened. English football clubs could learn a lot from Skonto Riga FC!

Riga Karting was awesome! Beat my no-good spanish friends hands down. Post race celebrations were tough

Bobsledding in Riga was simply mind-blowing! Was just an awesome rush! Can't recommend this activity enough. Thanks Riga Bobsleigh for organizing this one
