Editor's review
Paddy Whelan's claim to fame is that it was the first port of call for the Pogues' Shane MacGowan when he fancied a Guinness in Riga.
Plenty of others follow the singer's lead to sample the hospitality, beer, cider and Indian food at the city's first Irish pub. Table football, darts, karaoke, flat-screen TVs for sports events... there is always something going on at Paddy Whelan's, and if you just happen by with a guitar or a yen for a sing song the staff are happy to help you set up and belt out a few tunes.
Although an undeniably Irish pub, there's a true international theme and a warm welcome for all.
