Was not happy about me and my friends not being able to order food while watching a fotball game because of us standing at the only available, but seemingly wrong part of the bar.

Beautiful place , shit staff. They really need hospility and customer service classes ungently . I’d recommend you to go and buy the cheapest one just to be able to relax in the amazing area up stairs and avoid contact with the staff, they might bite!

This place is disgusting. I along with my mates went in on a Friday. It was empty. The music was wank. And don't even get me started with the drinks prices. Ten euros, YES TEN EUROS, for Vodka and coke! I'm still spitting feathers now thinking about it. And they wonder why the place is dead. The atmosphere is also really shit. Go a straight bar, half the price and staff are much nicer. I'm 100% a gay man - avoid this place

Here I had the only bad experience in Riga. The workers, especially a little blonde woman, are very unfriendly and incompetent, although it looks like a nice place. Unbelievable! The employee should behave as a representer of the pub and the hostel.

small place but very good for get to know others. Very very cheap drinks. the Headquarter in Riga for local students and erasmus. free wifi. good music with digital jukebox. can watch live soccer at TV, and even the spanish ligua( and all others). they sell paninis and snacks. barmaids are very sexy and the french boss very sweet, and he can inform you about everything in Riga. just amazing. i hotly advise it

wow. it's a small place, but really nice. the french owner is very nice, the barmaid is very sexy and sweet too. drinks are very cheap (pint of beer for 1.5€). good music. a lot of girls are there, tourists, students, and everybody with a good mood. For sure, it's a must at Riga. Anyway, it's one of the more popular place in LV. they have SAT TV with all international leagues football matches. for small money, you can chill during all the night and meet interesting people there.

Came for the EuroPride and shame I didn't read the reviews before. Complete rip off! I paid twice as a Lavian guy next to me. Shame!

I visit Riga a couple of times a year. I usually try to visit my favourite Apsara tea house which is located in the park near the central railway station. I love this place because of its second floor where you can remove your shoes and relax on the pillows while watching the beautiful park through the glass walls. Unfortunately, this time it was not as good. I decided to try a second brew of the tea I bought, because the tea gives a slightly different taste when brewed for the second time, milder but somehow satisfying. So I went to the first floor and politely asked the staff member for some more boiling water for my tea pot. The girl refused and asked me to buy a new pot of tea. I understand her desire to make profit, but seriously - I'm not asking for much, this is only water! This greediness is absurd and sad. I still like the place, but I won't visit it anymore. That last visit left a nasty aftertaste.

i am an erasmus in Riga 2014-2015. and we often go to this bar, with all my spansih friends and others erasmus. just because it's a famous place, cheap, and we can stay all the night, and not one other place in Riga is so fun ;-)

I visited this pub twice. It is very popular, mostly buzzing with very fun, very drunk young people. I recommend you go there, get a lovely Satan shot and drink some fine Latvian beer afterwards and you are set for the night. I know because that was my going away party. Really great and cheap.

A great Shot Bar, which located in the very middle of Old town, just next to Dome Square. A lot of special offers, happy hours, amuzing music and student prices ;) Also a cozy place to watch sports.

What a terrific chill out place!! We were there in early April on a day where the weather precluded extensive touristing - If you enjoy the full tea experience try the Apsara Tea House - also known as Tejnica Tea House

Awesome place!

Mad House was probably one of the most memorable cuisine experiences during my stay in Riga. I visited the place during daytime and had a roast beef salad. The meat was well cooked and the service was excellent. If you have a sweet tooth, I also recommend you to have their cheesecake. Not only did I enjoy the food but the place looked fabulous. The sport theme of this bar was complimented by modern interior which left a pleasant impression at the first sight. Overall, this place is for both – people who would like to dine out or those who are looking for a fun night out.

This is an awesome bar. My friends and I were planning on making it our regular place to go as we loved the crowd and music. That was until we were bullied by a 21 year old bartender and a young manager. We were not rowdy, were having a good time and sitting at the bar. The manager was working behind the bar on Friday night March 28th and with a little witty banter he started to get very offensive towards us. I told him I didn't want any trouble and he said, "I run this place and I can speak to you however I want to speak to you." We did not partake in the dramatics and decided that there were more positives than negatives and we would brush it off as silly boy taking his agression out on us. We returned March 29th for a end of night cocktail and the young bartender and manager were there drinking with their friends. They seperated my friend and I and sat beside us to start instigating fights once again. The manager repeated, "I can speak to you have ever I like, do you understand now?" By politely brushing that off him and his employee left to continue drinking. The young bartender came back and again we had witty banter and a harmless battle of wits. None of these guys respect women or like for them to have a voice so he said that we were stupid Canadian girls who asked too many questions. (We were asking about a stone that he had recently put in front of each of us at the bar. No clue what it was about.) He decided to attack me in the most pathetic way possible by calling me fat. We immediately left the bar without saying a word. We will never return as I have never in my life experience bullying like that. Completely uncalled for and for a manager to be looking for a way to kick us out and push our buttons is absolutely unprofessional. What customer service eh? The owner has a great bar, I feel sad for him that he employed such rude men.

Cool place - more Latvian than Russian. Superb house & rnb music. Always friendly barstaff. Been there so many times - outside bar in summertime with live dj!
