It's not the Albert Square from Eastenders, but a secluded hideaway in the heart of medieval Riga, that is home to Alibi.
The restaurant boasts a superb open kitchen, where you can watch the chefs preparing your choice from a pleasantly wide range of grilled dishes as you sample a local beer and contemplate the day just gone and the night ahead.
Chances are, even if you have stumbled into Alibi just for a bite to eat, there will be some live music as the evening wears on. For Alibi is also one of Riga's better-known karaoke venues.
