Shiatsu has arrived in Latvia from the other side of the globe, and this massage centre is one of the first to offer traditional Japanese 'finger pressure' services.
The philosophy of Shiatsu is holistic. Even when it is used to treat individual injuries, either phsyical or psychological, the aim is always to treat the whole body. The ultimate aim is to realign and strengthen the body's own natural energy points to create a feeling of relaxation, calm and well-being, as well as strength.
Shiatsu can also be a great source of erotic pleasure, so the centre offers training in erotic massage for couples. The five-hour course includes a DVD and practical sessions - and while it is quite pricey, it could be just the thing to put the spark back into a flagging relationship (and does wonders to perk up a flagging body too).
