Conan the Bulgarian Barbarian
One of the most hyped blockbusters of the summer is about to slash its way onto Bulgarian screens.
You've guessed it, in fact you didn't even need to guess it as it's written in the title, but we're talking about the 3D remake of Conan the Barbarian.
In its new incarnation, Hawaiian star Jason Momoa steps into Arnold Schwarzenegger's sandals. Liberal doses of sword-hacking are guaranteed.
Here in Bulgaria an added frisson of interest accompanies the film's premiere, as the movie was indeed made in this fair land.
Shot between March 15 and June 15 last year, Conan's adventures take in such sites as the stone river of Zlatnite Mostove on Vitosha mountain, and Prohodna cave near Lukovit to name but a few.
Whether Bulgarian audiences take to the movie remains to be seen (Conan hasn't been a resounding hit with U.S. critics), but the grand premiere will be in Sofia on August 24.
