St Petersburg's worst kept secret is a big favourite with travellers to the city, thanks to its winning formula of tasty tucker at filthy cheap prices. Blinis, for those still in the dark, are Mother Russia's own take on the pancake. Think of a French crepe, with a topping of your choice, and then stodge it up a bit (to help fuel the body during those long cold winters) and 'voila', one blini coming right up. There's also a decent range of soups, pastas and steaks on offer at the Domik; and, come the evening, a resident pianist arrives to tickle the ivories.

the food is good, but the prices are not what the guide books stated---cheap. we had one soup, the troika, the beef stragonoff and the millefloy and a beer--for 2 persons the bill was over $66 (US)..with a tip that was over 2,000 rubles...buyer beware!
Great prices compared to most places in Petersburg that are tourist-friendly. Highly recommended!
Came here everyday for lunch when I was in St. Petersburg! Great! Could barely move afterwards!
