Editor's review
Covering an almost exhaustive range, the Tallinn City Museum tells the story of life in the city from its medieval beginnings to the present. Aptly housed in a lovely 14th century merchant house, all things Tallinn are on display, running the gauntlet from history and archeology to numismatics (you won't know if you don't go), including collections of art, photos, weaponry, furniture, textiles, costumes, toys, tiles, glass and way too much more. The 20th century exhibit on the top floor may peak the most interest with its interesting display of WWII photos and propaganda posters, as well as Soviet paraphernalia. Open 10:30 - 18:00. Closed Tuesday. 35kr.
