Head out of Tallinn's old town towards the ferry terminal and docks to seek out a small but interesting gallery that works very hard at being exceptionally good.
Aedvilja doesn't overwhelm with size, or with the number of exhibits. Yet it's a place where anyone with the meanest appreciation of art could happily while away an hour or so.
Don't expect to find a Rembrandt or Van Gogh hanging on the walls, as it is almost exclusively given over to Estonian art. However, the exhibitions cover quite broad periods, so are a good introduction to this side of cultural development in a tiny Baltic state.
