In defiance of global warming and increasingly mild winters, a high-tech outdoor skating rink graces Tallinn's city centre on Harju street each winter. The impressive facility, next to St. Nicholas' Church, is purportedly weather-proof, can accommodate up to 125 skaters at a time, is fully lit at night and has a state-of-the-art sound system to ensure that everyone can ice-dance to the Ghostbusters' theme at least once a night. There is a cafe if you get peckish or need a hot drink, as well as toilet facilities and lockers.
The rink is open seasonally from 10:00 to 22:00 each day.
