Free Estonian Language Course Online

Right on time with the Estonian Language Day, the Estonian Ministry of Education launched an online Estonian language course for English-speaking learners yesterday, daily Postimees writes.

The free of charge material comprises 16 lessons with over 100 videos and over 1,000 exercises. Additionaly, leaners of Estonian can contact a language teacher via e-mail. The sessions focus mainly on everyday situations and suit individual studies and classroom tuition.

The Russian version of the online course started one year ago and by now, more than 12,000 Russian-speaking students learn Estonian by the help of the online application. The project is financed by the European Social Fund and the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research.
