Russia Puts Coal In Estonia's Stocking
In true holiday spirit, Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda has been heavily advocating a boycott on all things Estonian, including visits to the country over the Christmas and New Year's holiday. Running the campaign under the slogan, "I don't travel to eSStonia" and blatantly portraying the country as a neo-Nazi state, the paper urges readers to refrain from once-popular shopping trips and holidays in the Estonian capital. Thanks to its charming Old Town and Christmas Market, Tallinn has long been a popular tourist destination for Russians over the Christmas holiday. Not this year, says Komsomolskaya Pravda. That Estonian chocolate and beer will be replaced with homemade Russian vodka and a portrait of Putin in every true Russian patriot's stocking this year.
