Recently scooping it's second, prestigious Silverspoon Award for 'Best Gourmet Restaurant' in 2005 (and nominated for a host of others, including best chef, best service and best wine service) Stenhus is still the place to fine-dine in 2006. Nestled in the Schlossle hotel, the Stenhus's thirteenth-century cellar, with roaring log fire, provides the perfect romantic setting in which to enjoy the best cuisine in the land. And we do mean 'best': reading the menu alone is enough to make your mouth water! Why not start with chevre, served up under a pasta blanket with beetroot vinaigrette, followed by quail, stuffed with goose liver and raisins, and potato dumplings in butter sauce... No, you can't spend an extra 30p to supersize your meal.
