Vilnius International Film Festival

In March, Vilnius celebrates national and international cinema for two weeks at the Vilnius International Film Festival. More than 180 films will be presented at this year's 18th edition of Vilnius IFF, among others with a special focus on American independant cinema showcasing for instance the Oscar-nominated pictures "Beats of the Southern WIld" and "The Sessions". Moreover, visitors can look forward to a retrospective on the legendary French director Jean-Luc Godard and the competition "New Europe-New Names" which will look for the best debut or second film of young film makers from Eastern Europe or the Balkans.

Besides enjoying the film programme, professionals of the film industry can exchange ideas and business cards at the conference Meeting Point Vilnius and aspiring film makers can take part in workshops and special training courses.
