Jutting like a door-wedge into the heart of the city, City Park presides with a certain amount of pomp over Cathedral Square, undoubtedly occupying some of the best real estate in Vilnius. Travelling with uber-fussy future in-laws? City Park's exceptional staff will satisfy their every outrageous, illogical whim from substituting a double mattress where there were two snugged together, to bringing in an air-purifier because your mum-to-be can sense that someone smoked a cigarette in the room three weeks ago. Whatever it is, there can be no quibbling with heated bathroom floors ('They're fully adjustable, Deb!'), free internet and satellite TV. Tap into the mini-bar early and make the most of that fantastic view, or retreat to the sauna and sweat out the stress. 77 rooms; singles 121, doubles 164-178, suites 208.
