A satellite of the contemporary art museum, this cafe has a genuine atmosphere, good music, smart photography on the walls, limes in the beer and a very friendly staff. As for the clientele, you can expect some starving artists engaged in belligerent games of chess, more than a few loners bobbing madly to the music, at least one beyond-drunk beardo entertainingly engaged in a war on reason and good manners, and of course a couple tables of those ubiquitous and beautiful Lithuanian girls. Despite its seasonal cageyness in the cold months, it's still a good place to meet a friend on your lunch break and the food is above-average in its portioning and palatability. In summer, the whole world is hunky-dory in SMC's large courtyard where we can all lounge in plastic chairs and laugh at the clouds and the clowns.
