The list of services offered by Ida Basar is almost as long as the list of honours and awards that its staff have won since it opened as one of the first private companies in Lithuania, in 1990.

It's a restaurant, catering service, retail outlet, bar, cafe, hotel... whichever way you look at it, Ida Basar has all the tourist angles covered. Not only that, but on the catering side it lists some very important persons among its customers. These include none less than the President of Lithuania, the European Parliament and more. It has awards for 'best...' in almost every category you could imagine, and, often not content with gold medals, somehow manages to take the silver too.
