The Palace on the Water is a must for both art-lovers and history buffs. Originally a bathhouse for powerful aristocrat Stanislas Lubormirski, it was completely remodelled by Poland's Last King, Stanislas August Poniatowski (r.1764-95) who made it his Summer Residence. The palace is surrounded by some delightful parks, which are dotted here and there with follies and curios. Don't miss the little White House, once the home of the King's lover, and later that of the exiled Comte de Provence, future King Louis XVIII. Stanislas August was a great patron of the arts, and this is reflected in the sumptuous interiors of the main palace. A good deal of the monarch's original collection has survived, and the building itself came through the war in better shape than most, despite considerable damage. A restrained yet exquisite royal residence, this is one of the most beautiful buildings of its kind in Central Europe.

Beautiful palace. Well laid out and full of interest. Great history. The park is fantastic and a "must see". Relax at Chopin's monument, it is well worth the walk through the park from the palace. Will visit again, no doubt.
This summer palace is a treasure in Warsaw and one of my absolute favorite spots. On a spring day, it provides the visitor with a perspective on a quieter side of days gone by. It is a lovely ,romantic spot and so well restores! Enjoy it !
I've been there once with the orchestra. (I play the flute.) It was lovely, but I other than this castle, Warsaw wasn't a big experience for me. But I was in love with Budapest.
One of the most beautiful places in Poland - but you must go there in the summer for the full effect.
Gorgeous, romantic garden and the palace is not half-bad either! Kind of funny it's nearly called the Toilet Gardens... :P It's really more like Royal Baths.
the palace may be wonderful but the information on the site is only in Polish, and what about the tariffs?
Beautiful Palace and grounds. Makes for an excellent way to spend a warm spring day. Highly recommended.
