The Palace of Culture and Science (or Palac Kultury i Nauki in Polish) is the one building you can't miss in Warsaw - literally! Today it's a museum and a centre for many conferences and cultural events, and also has an observation deck where you can catch a great view of Warsaw. For more information on the notorious palace, see our Palace of Culture page!

view from the top is brilliant, should be more friendly in the elevators though. there is a cafe at the top of the tower, and you can see all of warsaw and the apartment blocks for miles and miles
This building is fantastic. Amazing communist statues surround it and inside there is a museum, congress hall, cinema and you can pay to go all the way up to the top and get a birds eye view of Warsaw.
The architecture is interesting as it is a replica of a similar tower in Moscow.
I would say it's a must-see, but usually you don't have much of a choice. A strange building in a strange city.
Ask someone from Warsaw what they think about this building, and be prepared for a half hour speech! It's definitely the city's most controversial structure, and everyone has their own opinion.
