I visited the Museum for the first time in 1990, and spent some time with Hanna Wroblewska-Stauss. I am wondering if she is still at the Chopin Society doing her research and editing.
i heard on the news that tickets to this museum are pre-reserved online for the next few months and there's no chance to get in... anyone been recently?
If the Chopin museum near Krybar is closed ,there is always the 'Golden Duck of Warsaw' fountain ! best viewed from the pedestrian bridge. Even better, a short way away is a renowned musical academy where one can rest in a park and listen to real pianists of high calibre rehearsing and taking their music exams.
my friend emailed them and received a response nearly a week later. the museum apparently did open on march 1 but they basically said they will only "encourage" visitors after easter. looks like they just wanted to say they officially opened on their deadline (march 1) but didn't actually finish it and so won't let anyone in... what a joke... even their website is not informed...
I have created exceptional portrait of Chopin for his 200th anniversary, and I would like to dedicate it to Chopin's warsaw society, please let me know where to e-mail it thanks
