Reviews of Art Galleries in Warsaw
Foksal - just a wonderful street for so many things! :)
I went to this gallery a couple years back and it was very original, and the people working there were very friendly!
Wonderful place but a mess to get around - no useful English markers or maps, there are rooms on the right on the left upstairs downstairs outside inside... how a first time visitor is supposed to find their way around I have no idea...
Artists are all primadonna's. Selfish and full of self-importance. Why give them space?
Check out their website for special events - I saw a few very cool concerts at this unusual venue last month. Really happy I looked into it.
Wonderful collection of Polish and foreign art. Beautiful surroundings too.
This is a really wonderful space. Warsaw is really growing in the art world. Check it out!
Really beautiful location. The castle in the park is great for a wander on a sunny day.
A really wonderful gallery with a true passion for contemporary art. The people that work there are very friendly and speak English, so I learned a lot about Polish art!
I find CCA one of those really pretentious places. Maybe it's the lack of humour to everything. The putting art on a pedestal and treating it soooo seriously that I think is a very Polish thing and a pretty outdated approach. Where's Duchamp when you need him?
nice stop while shopping, picked up a piece for the bedroom.
For me - one of the best and most enjoyable collections of paintings in the World. You never tire of these paintings or lack wonder at the ingenuity, beauty and diversity of Polish art. If ever you wish to understand the psyche of a Pole, this typifies their history and why they are one of the great nations of the world. Also how far ahead of the Western world they were, in between the Vodka sessions!
Gsllery Foksal is one of the most couragious gallerys of the twentieth century. As Art is part of the history of ideas Foksal has contributed more than It's share.I had the honore of showing there in 1966 and now in my 77th year, becoming prominent in American Art, I would like to show there again. Ed Mieczkowski

Bardzo przyjemna, kameralna galeria w Wilanowie, usytuowana w poblizu palacu. Uroczy domek, w ktorym sie znajduje stwarza znakomity klimat dla ogladania sztuki. Poya tzm mila obsluga. Polecam.
Could truly recommend this Gallery!
It's one of the most interesting cultural places in Warsaw. Frequently you can find there new exhibits and events. I can reccomend it.
I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the national gallery of Art in Warsaw and was really suprised to see the amount and the beauty of polish artits and their paintings .It was a joyful moment with surprising and admiration, though I have to confess I was a little bit disappointed with the description and information in the gallery , next to each paiting was only the name of the artist and the time but not the exact material ,size the colours or the tecnique used by them. I do believe the Polish goverment should invest a bit more in their beautiful national collection and promote a little bit more to the outside world . It is a unmissable heritage of local culture to its people and to the world. All with all my compliments and I wish to be back soon .
Every woman should see it. It's a must!
Bylam dwa lata temu... fajne.
There are some bright young talents in Poland right now, so if you're looking for the next Damien Hirst, check out Bujnowski, Sasnal and the others represented in this very cool, unpretentious gallery/hangout.
Interested in young polish art? you are in the good spot.
