Reviews of Culture in Warsaw
:o
:D good one man (y)
Better then in Paris times ... 3? ;)
Hello. I'M Going to be in warzaw from 24/05 to 27/05. Will You advise me things to do there. For exemple music concerts? Thank You for your time and help.
SORRY! i meant to rate it 5 stars not 1....
Good entertainment. Definitely should go if thinking about it!
It's a blight. That fake palm tree is a joke. Honestly, it's super ugly. Why not put up a beautiful spruce or some other evergreen that can be decorated every Christmas time?
Great and new museum in Warsaw! Very close to the railway station and Palac Kultury so you can visit them even waiting for a train. Beautiful modern interiors and exhibitions
MARIOLA DANNA NOTHING CAN EVER CHANGE THE WAY YOU DANCING
The palace is a bit austere with too many pictures of men that even my Polish friends had never heard of, but it is still worth a visit to see the floors and plasterwork. Better still is the park, which is a joy to walk and can be done easily within an hour. Access to the gardens is free on Thursday; access to the Palace is free on Sunday. Even if you have to pay, the cost is not huge and it is good value for money. Be sure to try the hot chocolate and Polish cake in the old tea room - delicious.
After my 69 hour flight to Poland, I soon looked at the largest thing that caught my eye, the Royal Palace. After I had visted all the 'clubs' I entered the Palace, and found the President of the Royal States of Canada. As o much of my suprise, the secret service ninjas jumped out of no-where and I was forced to take action,. I managed to defeat the ninjas and fire the president from his office to install Abraham Lincolen ad their new monach. I then ate some Cheese.

Beautiful palace. Well laid out and full of interest. Great history. The park is fantastic and a "must see". Relax at Chopin's monument, it is well worth the walk through the park from the palace. Will visit again, no doubt.
This summer palace is a treasure in Warsaw and one of my absolute favorite spots. On a spring day, it provides the visitor with a perspective on a quieter side of days gone by. It is a lovely ,romantic spot and so well restores! Enjoy it !
I visited the Museum for the first time in 1990, and spent some time with Hanna Wroblewska-Stauss. I am wondering if she is still at the Chopin Society doing her research and editing.
szkoda, że ten teatr jest w Polsce, gdyby była fila w USA, bylibyśmy codziennie. Dziękujemy za cudowne uniesienia Maria and Andrew
nice
view from the top is brilliant, should be more friendly in the elevators though. there is a cafe at the top of the tower, and you can see all of warsaw and the apartment blocks for miles and miles
Good museum and good display of medieval armor inside and tanks and guns and planes outside. Good paintings inside.
I absolutely love this museum for all the Polish paintings on the top floors. Paintings of Polish hunting scenes, of snow, of sledges, hunting dogs, horses and giant pictures depicting historic battles. There are paintings from the communist period, including my favourite "Thanking the tractor driver" and other paintings celebrating a worker in a fish factory who was the most productive at gutting the fish in the factory. I will go there many times more. There is also an excellent outside display of communist period tanks, aircraft and artillery that you can walk around.
This building is fantastic. Amazing communist statues surround it and inside there is a museum, congress hall, cinema and you can pay to go all the way up to the top and get a birds eye view of Warsaw. The architecture is interesting as it is a replica of a similar tower in Moscow.
its me again and i just want to say i give it a 10 and i am proud to be part polish
it sounds beautiful and it is i hope when i am older icould perform there if they sitll do performances
I've been there once with the orchestra. (I play the flute.) It was lovely, but I other than this castle, Warsaw wasn't a big experience for me. But I was in love with Budapest.
Very interesting small theatre with an unusual repertoire, but only in Polish as far as I know.
Some simply magnificent specimens on display.
i heard on the news that tickets to this museum are pre-reserved online for the next few months and there's no chance to get in... anyone been recently?
If the Chopin museum near Krybar is closed ,there is always the 'Golden Duck of Warsaw' fountain ! best viewed from the pedestrian bridge. Even better, a short way away is a renowned musical academy where one can rest in a park and listen to real pianists of high calibre rehearsing and taking their music exams.
my friend emailed them and received a response nearly a week later. the museum apparently did open on march 1 but they basically said they will only "encourage" visitors after easter. looks like they just wanted to say they officially opened on their deadline (march 1) but didn't actually finish it and so won't let anyone in... what a joke... even their website is not informed...
i tried to phone them, but the guy did not speak any english and just hang up. not very nice.
I wonder what will be so new here? I'm very curious indeed!
Foksal - just a wonderful street for so many things! :)
Yes, the palm used to look horrid and bare, but now it's looking nice and spruced up - who cares if it looks strange - it's part of Warsaw's charm!
I went to this gallery a couple years back and it was very original, and the people working there were very friendly!
Wonderful place but a mess to get around - no useful English markers or maps, there are rooms on the right on the left upstairs downstairs outside inside... how a first time visitor is supposed to find their way around I have no idea...
Wonderful space. Best to visit if you are driving though, no need to spend too much time walking the streets of Praga - still not the safest place at night.
I can't wait to see it after it has been re-opened!
They organize good exhibitions sometimes and special events and lectures. Good source for English language education information.
Interesting, but I like the University library better :)
Looks interesting - do they put any English performances on?
Forget about it! Look for club kulturalny bar instead - it's a hip place for young people :)
Very interesting place. Recommended.
I have created exceptional portrait of Chopin for his 200th anniversary, and I would like to dedicate it to Chopin's warsaw society, please let me know where to e-mail it thanks
Well worth a visit.
Artists are all primadonna's. Selfish and full of self-importance. Why give them space?
One of the most beautiful places in Poland - but you must go there in the summer for the full effect.
Check out their website for special events - I saw a few very cool concerts at this unusual venue last month. Really happy I looked into it.
Wonderful collection of Polish and foreign art. Beautiful surroundings too.
Sometimes this great theatre puts on an English play - it's worth seeking out!
