Inaugural Concert at the Warsaw Philharmonic
Summer is usually quiet for the Warsaw Philharmonic, as the season doesn't begin again until middle of September. That said, on the inauguration concert of the new season, the Philharmonic has served up a treat. On the 19th of September at 7:30 p.m., the National Symphony Orchestra, together with the Podlaskie Symphony and Opera Choir will perform as part of the Warsaw Autumn 51st International Festival of Contemporary Music. The symphony will be led by conductor Krzysztof Urbanski, with Arkadiusz Bialic on organs, Violetta Bielecka leading the choir, and flamenco singer Arcangel, along with some famous soloists performing as well. The pieces performed include Chapela's Inguesu, Scelsi's Uaxuctum, Widlak's Wziemiewziecie,and Sotelo's Si después de morir.... Expect an evening of phenomenal musical talents.
