OPERA: THE MAGIC FLUTE
A chamber version of Mozart's classic opera, The Magic Flute, has been adapted by Ryszard Karczykowski, the artistic director of the National Opera, as a magical performance for children. It introduces young viewers to the world of fairy tales, but also teaches the basic principles of the opera genre. In telling the tale of a prince who strays to the dark land of the Queen of the Night, the tale introduces the young to a series of dangerous adventures and trials. But the brave and virtuous prince overcomes the most difficult situations with the help of the magic flute. One of the most beautiful fairy tale operas, accompanied by the brilliant music of Mozart, will undoubtedly delight audiences of all ages. The performance begins at 6 pm at the Teatr Wielki, Warsaw's home for the National Opera.
