EXHIBITION: WESTERN UNION: SMALL BOATS

Innovating British video artist Isaac Julien is back at the Contemporary Art centre with his "WESTERN UNION: small boats" exhibition. His last visit was part of the "Touch My Shadows" show in 2006, but this time he's got Gallery 2 all to himself. One of the top video artists of our time, Julien has shown at the Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou, and the Guggenheim as well as being a Turner prize nominee in 2001. The exhibition on display here in Warsaw is his newest work - an audio-visual installation which will be spread over four rooms. Projections exploring the fate of migrants travelling to Europe are made all the more immersive with 5.1 sound. A great excuse to come back to the consistently satisfying Ujazdowski Castle.
