La traviata

One of the world's most famous operas, La traviata returns to the National Opera for a repeated run in 2011. The story, based on a novel by Alexandre Dumas, was transformed into an operatic libretto by Francesco Maria Piave and set to music by Giuseppe Verdi. The opera will be performed in its original language (Italian) with Polish surtitles. Performances are scheduled for January 21, 23, 25 and February 12, 13, 15, 17.
