Exhibition: Sustenazo

Warsaw-born, New York-based artist Monika Weiss presents Sustenazo in the cellar of the Ujazdowski Castle, home of Warsaw's Centre for Contemporary Art. The central topic of the exhibition is the sudden evacuation of nearly 2000 patients and medical staff from the Ujazdowski Hospital which was once located in the castle. Following the theme of the greek word "sustenazo" (to sigh, or lament) Weiss presents her unique approach to the subject through video projections, objects, photos, drawings, and sound compositions.
