Chopin, The Romantic Artist

Chopin Year celebrations have encouraged this year's Poland-wide trend of looking at the composer in a fresh new light, through original Chopin-inspired compositions, dances, and theatric performances. The Chopin ballet is yet another example of this trend, featuring music by Berlioz, Lapunow, Liszt, Schubert, Schumann, and Chopin himself. The choreography of Parsian dancer Patrice Bart will follow the life of the Warsaw-born composer in this original two-act ballet.
