La Folle Journee

Following last year's successful debut, the La Folle Journee festival returns to Poland with the theme of Les Titans - focusing on music from 1850 to 1950, from Brahms to Richard Strauss and the Viennese School. The festival originated in Nantes, France but now takes place across the world including several editions across Japan. The concept behind the festival is to make classical music as accessible as possible with as many short, affordable concerts as possible in a casual atmosphere. The concerts over these three days will take place in several locations on Plac Teatralny: in the Grand Theatre ("Teatr Wielki" home to the National Opera) as well as in an outdoor tent on the square constructed specially for the event. Tickets 5-10 zloty for each 45 minute concert.
