Fish, Fish, Fish
Anyone got any thoughts on the best places to buy really fresh seafood in Warsaw? Due to the strange way most of the seafood cooks I reckon most of it is transported frozen and defrosted in store. Good prawns in Carrefour and I believe that they are delivered every Wednesday (frozen!)

was in Makro last with my in-laws and bought some good fish. can't remember what day of the week it was but probably just after a fresh delivery. you have to have a club card to shop there though....

There is a fish import place at ul.Holowki called La Mare. I think they had/have a small shop on Mokotowska. I know they get fresh deliveries from France twice a week and supply lots of restaurants and hotels. Not sure if they supply private customers though. Probably worth trying.

Getting fresh fish seems to be a bit hit and miss in my opinion. We're not close enough to the great oceans to get anything really good. Would love a nice piece of salmon right now though! Hmmmm! Legendary!
