Hetman is an attractive mid-range hotel that's proved very popular in recent months. It's located on the right bank of the river, just round the corner from Warsaw's zoo. If you fancy a peak at the lions and giraffes, Hetman provides discount tickets, provided that you don't throw your business partners in with the beasts. Hetman is also right by the hip Praga district, which is beginning to enjoy a Renaissance. In the hotel itself you'll find pleasantly furnished rooms with a contemporary touch. Friendly service.

What a change! I stayed in the hotel back in November 1999,when it was the Hotel Wilenski. Then it looked fine from the outside and the reception was smart, but the room was little changed since the pre-1989 era and the bathroom was along the corridor and even more primitive. This time I was transiting via Warsaw and stayed in the reincarnated hotel just one night, but it was really comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great and very cosmopolitan - a far cry from the decent but Polish-food-only breakfasts I had back in 1999. I got a good deal by booking on line so it was a lot cheaper. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Hetman to anybody looking for decently priced accommodation in Warsaw. It's not right in the centre, but public transport gets you there pretty quickly.
Good standard - simple and clean rooms and only 30 min walk or a quick tram ride from the Old Town. Was very impressed with breakfast. Recommended.
Nice, clean and friendly hotel which was in a quiet street. It is a really nice hotel-the rooms are big and cosy, the bathroom is lovely, the breakfast is plentifull.
I liked the hotel but did not like the area and would have preferred to be nearer the centre of the town.
Enjoyed my stay at Hetman. Felt more like an older European style Hotel. Everyone was very helpfull.
I have to agree with the comments posted below. Well priced, attractive hotel in a lively and interesting part of town.
I was a little apprehensive about staying in the Praga area but it was brilliant. The Hotel was superb and a welcome change from the corporate hi-rises in the centre. The area was also very nice and I felt more part of real Warsaw.
Really nice room - for the low price we paid I was expecting far lower quality but I was pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Hetman!
