Reviews of 3 star Hotels in Warsaw
I was quoted by receptionist 160zl to modlin airport , then she said as taxi going at 5am it’s night rate 200zl , I agreed , when I arrived at airport taxi wanted 320zl another case of ripping off the tourist . Be aware when booking your taxi
What a change! I stayed in the hotel back in November 1999,when it was the Hotel Wilenski. Then it looked fine from the outside and the reception was smart, but the room was little changed since the pre-1989 era and the bathroom was along the corridor and even more primitive. This time I was transiting via Warsaw and stayed in the reincarnated hotel just one night, but it was really comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great and very cosmopolitan - a far cry from the decent but Polish-food-only breakfasts I had back in 1999. I got a good deal by booking on line so it was a lot cheaper. I'd definitely recommend Hotel Hetman to anybody looking for decently priced accommodation in Warsaw. It's not right in the centre, but public transport gets you there pretty quickly.
The room was spacious and clean, the Hotel was quite close to the Old Town.
reccomended and good place in the city plus good value
I really think this hotel represents perfect value and is an ideal location for getting into the city centre. Good value as well when compared to other brand hotels in the city.
Its a great location and easy to get to the city centre by tram or taxi. I always use best western so am pleased there is now one in warsaw.
Stayed there on business trip and was lucky to get a renovated room and it was a good standard.Very friendly staff. Would stay there again.
Good standard - simple and clean rooms and only 30 min walk or a quick tram ride from the Old Town. Was very impressed with breakfast. Recommended.
Nice, clean and friendly hotel which was in a quiet street. It is a really nice hotel-the rooms are big and cosy, the bathroom is lovely, the breakfast is plentifull.
Great location in Central Warsaw, i like the executive king room, its good room and for good money.
Decent, but nothing special. You get what you pay for.
Very affordable and at a good standard.
Indeed, the outside is nothing special but the rooms themselves are quite nice, and the price was good for the location and standard.
The Karat is a nice laid back, personal and best of all QUIET place to stay. I just felt so relaxed here. A little off the beaten track but only a few minutes walk away from the tram stop that takes you to the town centre in about 10 minutes.
Perfectly adequate hotel in the city centre. The room was pretty small but comfortable and the rates were good for Warsaw
I liked the hotel but did not like the area and would have preferred to be nearer the centre of the town.
Enjoyed my stay at Hetman. Felt more like an older European style Hotel. Everyone was very helpfull.
Good value for the money. Big rooms and pleasant staff. I enjoyed looking out onto Constitution Square, it's already dusted with snow and looked like something from an old spy movie. Far cooler than 'modern' Warsaw!
I have to agree with the comments posted below. Well priced, attractive hotel in a lively and interesting part of town.
I have to say that I felt considerably let down by the Mercure. It certainly didn't help that one sees a few really glam and new hotels the minute one leaves the front door and ventures out onto the street.
I was a little apprehensive about staying in the Praga area but it was brilliant. The Hotel was superb and a welcome change from the corporate hi-rises in the centre. The area was also very nice and I felt more part of real Warsaw.
Ugly building from outside but inside rooms are clean and reasonable. Price is also reasonable and one cannot be closer to the centre of town than this, although it is not the most pretty part of the city and it is quite loud at night.
The hotel is terrible. It was modern in 1996 but the rooms have seen very little improvement since. As a result nothing can be guaranteed to work. I've stayed there many times over the years and witnessed a catalogue of failings. I was there recently and the hot water supply broke on a Saturday - reception said an engineer would come on Monday. This was definitely my last visit - I've convinced my company that I should stay elsewhere.
Really nice room - for the low price we paid I was expecting far lower quality but I was pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Hetman!
Very nice rooms, we had a spacious double and it was all the room we needed. The restaurant is decent, with a great breakfast selection. All in all, I recommend the Hotel Metropol!
Great location! If you get a weekend discount for $ 62.00 per night it's a good deal. Be advised the single room beds are just that - for singles only! Welcome to the days of the Worker's Paradise! Jazz Bar seems more like a coffe shop. Best reason to stay here is for the breakfast buffet - very good!

Definitely get your money's worth here. Close to town and reasonably priced.
