Modlin Airport Prepares for First Flights

Warsaw will soon begin to host air traffic at its newest airport - Modlin, located 40km north-west of the city. Originally a military airfield dating back to 1937, the airport has been renovated to accommodate budget airlines looking to serve Warsaw, while avoiding the hefty fees of Warsaw's main Chopin Airport.

Modlin Airport will be a base for three low-cost at its opening - Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Polish domestic airline OLT. The first connections will fly to cities like Dublin, Brussels, London, Oslo, Eindhoven, Rome, and Stockholm. Further connections are set to be added by the end of September.
