Reviews of Cafes in Warsaw
Jak na setę to do Setki i od razu człowiek lekki. Do wódeczki trzeba zjeść obowiązkowo, aby było bardzo zdrowo!
Wonderful - I used to live there in the 4 years I was in Poland (3 years ago). I didn't know it re-opened?!! - wonderful as I am visiting Poland for 2 weeks starting this Friday 13th July!!
Great selection of pastries. Espresso was a bit cold when served.
Hello, can anyone tell me what was the street addres of A Blikle cafe before 1 st World War. Need the fact in my coming book. Best regards, grateful of for any hint or info. V Kaarnakari
Amazing experience! Highly recommend!
great drinks, communicative bar tenders, chillout atmosphere ;-)
Great coctails,great bartenders!
The best coctails in our country. I love this place!
Great place, great staff, and the best cocktails in Poland!!
Masarap . One of the best donuts I ever had . Good job Mr.Blikle . Dessert flagship of Poland
I'm from NYC so it's hard to please my taste buds . We have it all . Hi five to Blikle Cafe , wish there was one in New York City . Amazing pastry , pleasant service and New York prices lol , gotta love it though
Ambiance and cakes absolutely purrfect. Chocolate ones lush. Do not miss it. Clientele of all ages. Refreshing!
When We lived in Poland a few years ago, the owners roasted coffee most days as needed. It was also a high grade of coffee. As a result the coffe was always great. Most of the help was from Politechnica so was top notch. My wife and I believed that at the time it was the best coffee shop in Warsaw. Based upon some of the reviews here, it seems like it may still be a great place.
complete disaster, rude and awful service, they just do not listen to you, coffee was utter crap, no taste, just water with some taste of coffee - awful, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst anemy
Wholly lived up to its outstanding reputation. I thought the prices were reasonable, given the quality and atmosphere. There's free wifi as well.
This is a really good place to meet for a coffee. Lots of rooms hidden away and an cool balcony.
ANY TIME I COME TO WARSAW,.AFTER DROPPING OFF THE LUGGAGE..THIS IS THE PLACE I HEAD FOR..IT IS POLISH CAKES AND COFFEE AT ITS VERY BEST..AND ..THE STAFF ARE SIMPLY GRACIOUS ,THEY SMILE AND OFFER GREAT SERVICE...THIS ..IS A MUST WHEN YOU VISIT WARSAW..
Excellent place to go, a couple of wardrobes converted to sofas, old furniture, books, good music and the great thing is cider at 10zl for a pint and coffee for just 6 zl. I really think this place is a good place to start the night or go to in the afternoon.
really great place, been there a few times and there is always good food and good coffee
Ok, for the ppl that don't like this place then well I don't know what to tell you. Just about every Polish American, especially in Chicago, comes to this place at least once while in Warsaw. Are these treats American. NO!!! That's the best part! Their paczkis are the standard that just about every Polish American bakery goes by. Even if you live in Warsaw, which I did, this was THE place to sweets!!!!
What a charming place!I went there with a couple of my Polish friends and found the place so relaxing and offering great food too.Heard they were going to stay opened round the clock soon! What a brilliant idea, chance for a quality grab on the way back from the clubs!
Good coffee, good wi-fi, right next to the tram stop at Hala Mirowska, lots of arty magazines to read, good place to work on lap top, nice food, prices reasonable.
We went there today for a coffee and it was good and comfortable. Nice cakes available and well dressed waiters and waitresses.
This place is great. Nice cakes. Nicely served. Fine interiors. Considered one of the finest cafes in Warsaw
I was introduced to Cafe Blikle in 2000 when my aunty lived in Poland. Went back in 2002 with my parents and then took my husband in 2008. Try the famous Polish raspberry donut. You will love it.
They roast their own! Pretty tasty!
the free wifi is broken most of the time so you have to make sure to ask them to try to restart the router or something... overall, a real warsaw gem.
A must-see in Warsaw and a true cultural experience. I told my Polish friends about this place back home and they were all impressed!
VEry cute - actually Clara I saw a few great English language selections too! They also sell very unique souvenirs of Warsaw + there's free WiFI - very useful.
If you're in the area checking out the uni library or the mermaid it's the perfect excuse to visit this sweet bookshop and cafe - unfortunately all the books are in polish though!
sooooooo gooooooood :)
Great place, definitely coming back
great place!
Blickle's pastries were favorites of General de Gaulle who used to order them sent to him in Paris weekly. I thought this seemed unlikely UNTIL I tasted their cakes and doughnuts (stuffed with rose petal jam, glazed and sprinkled with candied orange peel!) Sheer bliss.
Very cute place to hang out with a drink on a quiet night.
The best donuts in Poland and perhaps the world. Krispy Kreme should take a leaf out of their book.
Nice roaster in the photo! Do they roast their own coffee here, or is that just for decoration?
One of my favourite places in Warsaw. Delicious coffee, great selection of books (some in English too!), and plenty of cosy nooks and corners to escape with a book or your laptop (free wifi!).
I don't care if I gain a bit of weight because of that place, it is so good that it's worth it!
It's an awesome place to chill, I like to go there with a book and have some nice cappuccino.
Very cool place, with good beer selection. Great for a bit of chillout :)
rly Old-School, but in turn - proper! Ignore Starbucks on Nowy Swiat and run straight here!!
great location and very good service, espresso is the best on this side of Milan !! food good and awesome cakes, it is no cheap but place is classy and has atmosphere
Great place! I really enjoyed it, wonderful and complete menu, very friendly staff, unique atmosphere. I strongly recommend it to all :)
Blikle on Nowy Swiat is highly recommended. Very good salads, nice selection of beers, ideal for families. rgds Chris
the cakes were absolutely fantastic! I just couldn't stop eating them!
This is a real find. One of those places that feels like it has been there for ever. Some interesting beers that I have not seen anywhere else. Kind of real-ale stuff.
I complained to the American owner that I don't like drinking coffee from a glass and could it be poured into a cup. She just got really stroppy and walked away. She's probably been in Poland too long!
Seems to be happening a lot in Warsaw now, opening a cafe in a bookshop.'Traffic' and 'Empik' are doing it as well but I think CB has a nicer intimate feel and a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately being Warsaw most people don't actually buy any books, they just sit around all day with one coffee and read everything for free. The owners of CB also opened a wonderful open plan bookshop/bar/cafe on the ground floor of a cinema in Praga, it was called 'Bambini di Praga'. Lots of art/cinema/design books and tons of space for kids to run around in and study the kids books without being told off + the added bonus of beer and wine. I thought it was really great and was truly saddened to read on the internet that it closed down a few weeks ago.
It's got a great feel to it! Old world but not in a kitschy way. I can just imagine eccentric intellectuals sitting around guzzling strong coffee and contemplating the important questions of the day, like.......... how the hell do you get served in here!! That's really my only gripe, really slow, poor service.
