Magda Gessler, one of Warsaw's most active restauranteurs, has done it again with Polka - a restaurant located in the city's Old Town district. Gessler's talent is both in refining and updating traditional recipes as well as in creating opulent, beautifully decorated spaces. On the menu you'll find all the best of Polish cuisine, brought up to modern times with a light, fresh, French-inspired approach. Some of the mouthwatering choices include a savoury quiche filled with smoked sausage, roast peppers, tomatoes, and Gruyere cheese, as well as a classic pork loin filled with plums and served with rosemary sauce. Delish!

My Polish friend took me to this restaurant as she is a famous chef & TV personality. Once there, I went to use the washroom and I got stuck inside as the lock was broken. I could not open the door and after banging the door and calling out, no one heard me. I am claustrophobic and that did not help. Finally one guest who also came to use the washroom, helped me out. That was an ordeal for me. But managed to enjoy the evening. If I was the management I would check everything.
He clarifies that Polka is not really concerned with anyone else’s menu. It is not trying to compete with anyone, but rather trying to provide an engaging and unique experience for diners. If you’re looking for a true Polish experience, come and visit Polka Restaurant. Bring the family; reservations are accepted, and a children’s menu is available.
Really enjoyed it. Great prices, comfortable lovely staff and food delicious. Would love the recipe for pork loin with plums
Very nice restaurant, in a beautiful building in the historic centre of Warsaw. Food is refined and typically Polish. To us (from Holland) the prices seemed very reasonable. Recommended!
Exquisite! I enjoyed very much the fine food there and vintage recipes. As a foreigner I was also very impressed by the architecture of the place and ambiance. it is a must visit restaurant when in Warsaw in my opinion.
