A traditional Polish favourite, pierogi dumplings, are the specialty at Zapiecek where you can sample some classic varieties of these dense, hearty pockets of flavour. The most popular types of pierogi come filled with cheese & potato, meat, or cabbage & mushroom and come topped with a generous layer of greasy, salty bacon bits (though you can ask for them plain if you prefer). Located amid the shops and offices of central Warsaw, it's the perfect pit stop for a lunch-time refuel. If dumplings are not your thing you can also sample some traditional Polish soups, meat dishes, crepes, salads, and desserts.

Smakowicie i nie drogo i po polsku. Restauracja dla obcokrajowców którzy chcą spróbować prawdziwej polskiej kuchni.
Zapiecek to tradycyjna polska kuchnia, więc jesli chcecie kogoś zaprosić na taki obiad, lunch czy kolację to jest to miejsce jak najbardziej odpowiednie.
Miejsce idealne dla obcorajówców chcących poznać typową polską kuchnię opartą na pierogach, nalesnikach czy bigosie:). Jak na obiad to tylko do Zapiecka:)
I tried most soups and dumplings (pierogi) on the menu and it was all excellent. I must recomend the broth of the day served with noodles, and assorted pierogis slightly fried after boiling. Fantastic. Friendly staff, quick service, clean toiletts and and overall cosy rustik restaurant which I'll visit also on my next trip to warszaw.
We ate at the Zapiecek Polskie Pierogarnie today and found the surroundings very traditional, rustic interiors, nice and warm, wooden furniture and a big crowd of people enjoying their food.
We shared an amazing dish of potato based pancakes served with a pork goulash with sour cream and it was amazing, and also just 23zl.
The staff were dressed in traditional costume and friendly.
I will give it 10 out of 10, as it delivered exactly what we wanted.
