For many visitors to Warsaw and Poland, the Frederic Chopin International Airport, commonly called just Okecie Airport, will be the first sight they see. While the airport is fairly small compared to many European hubs, it's gone through several expansions and renovations, and more are inevitably on the way as tourism to Poland expands. More detailed information on Warsaw's Frederic Chopin International Airport can be found on our Warsaw airport page.

When you arrive at the airport resist any offers of a taxi that you receive inside the terminal. Use a taxi from the taxi rank instead, from my experience it will be half the price or even less.
If you get the 175 or any other bus into the city centre make sure you keep aware of your wallet and passport as there are often pick pockets at work. It is best to sit down and keep you case/bag in front of you and be aware of who is around you.
The new terminal is huge, so make sure you arrive with plenty of time. If you're flying from the old terminal, though, prepare for massive queues!
This place used to be pretty ghetto. The new terminal is modern and up to date... no more pink decor!
