Exhibition: True Finland
Fri 9th
May
The work of Finland's finest descends en masse to Wroclaw this May and June for what should be an stimulating slice of Scandinavian eccentricity. Themes of loneliness and passiveness pervade their collective consciousness, and the relationship between man and the natural world figures strongly. Paintings, photos, films and installations are just some of the media utilised and the long list of artists include amongst others Jussi Heikkilä, Timo Heino, Pekka Jylhä, Kaarina Kaikkonen and Anu Tuominen. The exhibition takes place at the BWA main building (aka the Awangarda Gallery) and is open every day except Mondays, 11am to 6pm. Tickets are 8PLN or 4PLN if you are pretending to study something.
